Step 1
Preheat oven 350° F. Grease a 9” round baking pan.
Step 2
In a large cooking pot combine masarepa, milk, coconut milk, salt, raisins, cinnamon and sugar.
Step 3
Once combined, heat on the stove over medium high heat. Stir constantly to prevent it from sticking to the bottom.
Step 4
Once the batter comes to a boil reduce the heat on low. Continue to stir, Remove when it thickens to yogurt-like consistency.
Step 5
Make sure to remove cinnamon sticks.
Step 6
Pour the batter into prepared baking pan. Baked until arepa is golden brown on top about 40 mins. (insert a knife in the center to check) Allow the arepa to cool before removing it from the pan. Serve.
