1 cup
GOYA® Masarepa White Corn Meal
½ tsp.
GOYA® Adobo Light All-Purpose Seasoning (with or without pepper)
2 cups
boiled water, divided (used as desired)
Step 1
Place the Masarepa White Corn Meal into a large glass mixing bowl and mix in the Adobo Light.
Step 2
In a small sauce pan bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Turn off heat and set aside.
Step 3
Pour 1 cup of hot water into a Pyrex or heat safe measuring cup. Slowly add the hot water to the cornmeal about ¼ cup at a time, mixing thoroughly with a strong wooden spoon until the entire cup of water is mixed in to form a dough-like consistency. (If you want a more soft porridge like consistency, pour in the remaining hot water and mix well to achieve desired consistency.)
Step 4
Take the cornmeal dough and form into 4 rectangular loaf shapes (approx. 3¼” x 1” x 1½”) - 1 per person.
